StarMade - space exploration game

Anyone playing this? I searched for a thread but cant find one.
I put a few hours in so far and it seems like a really nice game. Basically its Minecraft in space. The ship building is really cool, you have to balance the ships power, systems, weapons, shields, etc so that it works correctly. I'm just starting out so i've had my arse kicked by the AI pirates a few times. But i'm getting better, learning what works and what doesn't. I will also be making a faction base at some point.
The game is free at the moment as its still only alpha, but its a really good alpha. I highly recommend it.
