Hey guys I have a question with the insert brushes on making sandals. So I have this character with a sock on and I want to but sandals for the feet with ropes holding the sandals in place. I use the insert brush and I am able to move it around as I like but when I switch over to a new subtool and go back to try and using my insert brush on my sock I can't because it is as if my insert brush is now merged to my sock. I want to edit my rope but I can't. I can't seem to go back and fidget around with the rope I made with my insert brush.

Here is my sock

When I switch subtools and go back to the sock the rope is merged in with the sock. How do I go back to the edit mode to edit the ropes?

You can't edit a curve once you've essentially deactivated it. The inserted mesh will be a new polygroup which would make it easy to isolate and edit with the move brush (you could even try splitting it into a new subtool and then using a zsphere rig). Otherwise you'll have to delete the rope and redraw a new one, exiting the curve mode only when you're happy with the insertion.
