Looking for lead artist

Hello!

My name is Damon, Co-founder, acting producer and "visionary" of our little team. We are currently looking for an artist skilled in all areas from concept to completion. The game we have in mind is a futuristic, dystopian world ran more by corporations than government with a twist of fantasy (think Blade Runner meets Lord of the Rings). We are working on a demo and need you to finish the last piece of the puzzle. We have a few interested investors lined up to see our completed work and thus, fund it. If you are willing to help us get the funding we need, the position of Lead Artist will be yours. This is a first come, first hired position. After that we will need 2 for Lead Character/Props and Lead Environment. Once funded, you would, of course, need to relocate to our base of ops. A bonus check would accompany our funding to help with your relocation. If you are interested in helping but do not want the position, a generous payout can be arranged. A little on our company dogma, we are about the players, not the profit. We plan on putting out monthly, if not bi-weekly, content. Once our game goes live, half the team will stay on that project to help it grow, while the rest will move onto other games we want to create(we currently have 4 more in pre pre pre production :)) We would like to never have to lay off a single employee or outsource (more than absolutely necessary). If this sounds like the home you've been looking, send me a message. We look forward to meeting you!

I should mention, but didn't think I needed to, the first come, first hired position is not for just the first reply but the first to reply AND be qualified. We will hire those straight out of school but not for the lead positions. I sure all can understand why :)

You should probably list some info about the company and game, or at least have a website link. Are you guys an established team? Fresh out of school with big dreams? Hobbyists looking to go indie? Mobile game? Platformer? FPS? MMO?

These kinds of posts usually get ignored around here unless you have some really cool art or concrete ideas and concepts ready to show.

    Good luck!

Thanks for the heads up! We are a small group of 7 right now. All but 2 went to school for their choosen field so we are a mix of trained to hobbyists. We are in the process of filing all the necessary paperwork to be a legit company. We are making a MMO so yes, we have the big dream. It will be on PC only but future titles will multi-platform. We have a GDD for our demo and a lot of progress made but the lack of an artist is preventing us from completing it. I understand the need for artists to be gaurded because of these dispicanle art farms so I'm sure all can understand our desire not to post to many details of our game in a public forum. If you are interested I would be happy to set up a time were we could converse on a more live platform (phone, Skype, etc). Thanks for checking out our post!
