Maya - Little guy in fire

I need your help to do a project. I'm working on it few weeks ago but I don't find solution...

I have already do the little girl: http://cganswers.cowblog.fr/images/book1.png
But I find a way to make this guy in fire. I tried with Fluids and nDynamics but I don't find the right way... I'm looking for on the net but nothing I can find is ok for this kind of subject... If you have any advices or solutions I will be very happy to read them !
