I want to give a try to realistic rendering, decided to create a car scene since I guess is easier and I like cars so I wanted to render a design of my own

I know the basics of rendering,I hope so,and I am using a tutorial a friend gave me but is from 2006 so probaly is outdated,I am using softimage
however I want to know if there is more tutorials or tips I can use to make a better render

sketches of the design are in the attachment,I am using a mobile since I dont have internet in my house and is kind of complicated to use this forum,so my images are in the attachments

any critique an feedback about the design is welcome, but I want to start modeling soon so I wont make big changes but sure will make minor changes as I model
I was inspired by the mercedes-benz slr stirling moss and the aston martin cc100 in the general body shape, others inspirations are cars

Thread bumped since I thought it was better than creating a new one
I made various renders using this model, after various trys and pc updates and other things occupying my time, I made this ones so I wanted to post this
made some renders before this but are very obsolete looking in my opinion

    and a modified racing version

    any opinion is welcome

this is actually really nice, good design, the headlight design especially. its subtle that they are there, but really nicely mixed in so that it follows the lines of the car.
a couple of things with the design could be improved though, take a look at the following examples of similar real world cars:

the aventador J above is a bit different, as its engine layout is mid-rear, so the side venting is moved backwards. the Stirling Moss Merc above it is probably a better example, as it is front engines like i assume yours to be (judging by the design yours looks heavily inspired by the stirling moss)
look at how smooth the transition from the front intakes to the hood is, yours is sort of a nice curve but then immediately flat.

another reference for the racing variant is the Jaguar D type.
the single seat on your racing version means that the thingy behind it can be removed, and possibly make the bit behind the driver more aerodynamic?

hope this helps, its looking good so far!
