Maya 3D paint tool(quick seam painting)

So I like to use maya to quickly paint some seams if Im already in the program. I never use to have an issue in 2010 but Im updated to the newest version and Im having an issue. The orange part, the wing, is its own UV set and the blue part, the body, is its own. Right when I go to use the clone stamp tool the wing inverts in color and turns orange.

both maps are the same size as well

Since Iv never had an issue with mayas 3d paint and I have become quite proficient with it I dont know of other software to easily paint in 3d. If you guys know if some software I can easily access that will allow me to properly paint the seams that would be awesome.

I would look into 3DCoat, its 3D painting tools are great and it handles multiple uv sets pretty well. It has a 30 day fully featured trial.

Blender has a painting feature, can't tell you much about it though, I just found out about it a few days ago and i'm investigating as we speak.

right on, thanks guys...it was a long shot I would find out what the heck is causing the inverting of the texture map within maya
