So I was cruising down the road, listening to local radio because I forgot my music cd and I heard that there was a Toys R Us special regarding halo and call of duty mega blocks!
Alright we have had are differences regarding games, but this is ridiculous
it seems as though these games that are clearly "M" for mature are being marketed towards children. You said there was no meat conspiracy, well I am not buying it
This is a blatant meat plot to make the youth into "mini meats" or "salami slices" you know, those children with no manners who you folks mentioned appearing in many of these game spaces. If this was 1995 there would be an outrage, people would be furious, there would an address to congress.
At this rate it seem as though toddlers will start playing these games and the meat will take over everything; gore tv, fps on PBS, shooter plushies the works. No one will appreciative anything that isn't meat, everyone will become more aggressive and as the years progress the world will be reduced to a Mad Max esque state. I mean look at folks, portfolios at the beginning of last decade compared to now, more meat is arising, this could be the begining of the end for those who don't do such things.
What are your sentiments on this?

More gore in culture and media does not make people more aggressive. Violent crime has been dropping since the late 80s, even though violent games have been on a rise since then. And even Japan, with some of the most graphic and violent media and entertainment, have some of the lowest murder and violent crime rates in the world. There is no connection between agression and any sort of graphic or violent entertainment.
But seriously dude your overreacting.
The same silly arguments have been applied to swing dancing, rock n roll, comic books, cartoons, violent movies, death metal, Dungeons and Dragons, the internet, and every other possible new medium of expression you'd care to point out. Hell, ancient Greek philosophers were bitching three thousand years ago about people learning how to write because they thought it would turn children into belligerent little assholes who only had short term memory.
I think Mega Bloks are probably the least of the things you should be concerned with in regards to what people should expose children to, unless you're worried about them choking on them.
Guess what, neither is good. People need to stop overreacting to this.

ohh wait.
Well I am talking game community wise, many of the folks who play the games involving shooters and younger folks; the younger folks are extremely rude and that is no good. Also you have to consider there is a big difference between battle dudes, like Ben 10 and things like this if you are consider violence you know? When I was younger folks loved the gun based things, that caused them to buy bee bee guns and shoot everything irresponsibly.
Swizzle
Well, it's more so what is liked. If these types of things are liked by younger and younger folks the balance will be shifted and that could mean certain doom for many of us.
MM
I am, I have been making the low poly fellows, added more anatomy and I am currently drawing up some plans for new characters and even an environment. I am away from my work station though, so I decided to start a discussion on a recent happening that occurred.
You've been on a roll lately !
Super size it, even.
If you ask me, there's not nearly enough meat in my portfolio.
It wont, if it did have negitive effects on kids, we'd see the results already, but there has been the opposite effect.
There have been violent video game characters sold as kids toys since Mortal Kombat.
Meat
Things that are needlessly violent, gritty, and gory; also meat are really hyper masculine titles that involve guns, wanton destruction or things of that nature.
More often than not, they are hyper realistic for some reason.
almost every zombie game or shooter
special mentions are
solider of fortune
lolipop chainsaw
resident evil
Manhunt

And run away really fast because I don't want to see the disturbing imagery it contains to make it's point.
Jebus, did that guy really blew his brains to prove a point?
Edit: That made me google for R. Budd Dwyer, I didn't know about that case. Anyway, good vid, and I agree with Jim.
I have never heard that word used that way before today.
Was even more amazed by your use of the word "demi-meat" over here.

You should look in to, ESRB?

Do butchers play with meat when they were little?
Seriously though, it is a bit weird when you can play with toys based on M or R rated stuff, but it's not turning kids into desensitised meat machines. I had Jurassic park toys where you could rip a guys arms off, and a terminator toy with a spike that pops out his hand or can change it to a rocket launcher. Now I'm 27 and playing zelda on the 3ds, last week I saw frozen and it rocked my socks off. Means nothing
Of course I only have myself to blame as I decided to click on this knowing it would be filled with walls of pointless text.
Well, I'm going to go eat Doritos until I pass out, good day.
Come on man.. come on.
Cheese was annihilated by laser guided meat delivery....
Won't somebody please think of the children ?
EAT YO GREENS. DAT WILL HALP.
