Have you guys seen this? Holy crap.
The damage and particle systems look super impressive. Though, with the name of the engine, I was hoping for more than just a shader change for snow on the ground. I was hoping for something a little more detailed. Snow piling up in corners or whatever.
Either way, this is damn impressive. I can't wait to see more.

I honestly haven't been too impressed with next gen graphics just yet. But THIS... This is the start of something great. The start of true next gen.

And the whole snow thing doesn't seem all that special to me. Nor does the day/night cycle, much.
What's most interesting is actually the dynamic volumetric lights, with the bullet holes in particular. How's that done?
Yeah this looks to me like Ubisoft's version of the Cryengine. Every publisher's gotta have one of those.
It may be a tech demo, but its more of an extended peak at some of the environments that the debut trailer didn't show. That's why everyone is excited. Yea the tech itself isn't anything beyond what is currently being shown in leading engines, but the environment art is undeniably well done. It's one of the few games that environmentally looks 'next-gen.' The world building and set-dressing are fantastic.
