So I've been working on a little scene in UDK lately and I've run into a strange problem. I'm not longer able to save changes or add new meshes to the level. From what I've read on Google it's because my package is external. The few ways I've seen to make the package internal haven't worked for me. Am I going to just have to a new package and re-import everything? Is there a way to do that without breaking the level and having to start over?

Anyway He's what I have so far

The 'shot' I'm looking for

I think I'm at the point that I'm ready for some feedback. I have a list of thing I currently working on (air ducts, the thing over the arch, making the arch and the walk way one piece) but other than that go hog wild.

I forgot to mention I've finished the fence but can get it to import. Also let me post an image of something further up too.

I can't really help with the UDK issue; however, I will give some critique on the image.

Overall, your scene is pretty close to the concept. There are obviously a few differences in the electric gate thing, the side wall, area over the arch, etc. Not sure how important that is to you so I'll leave it at that.

The one thing that I'd suggest paying attention to is the archway. Right now, it doesn't mesh into the overall design very well. The whole scene is pretty much hard edges with a super smooth arch placed in. (IGNORE)

Looking back at the reference image. There are these two huge smooth curves with a hard beveled edge on the ceiling leading into the archway. Those two curves help rationalize the design of the archway. Right now, it looks like the flat surface on your archway is curved. That should also be a hard bevel.

I hope that all made sense

Are you talking about the front "face" of the arch that points camera left?

Well I think I've fixed my UDK issue but I have to load two packages now. I'm not going to worry about it too much because I can at least get back to work.
