I would add a bit more color in the skin where the blood gets close to the surface. Right now he looks a little dead or rubbery. Nice job though. I am digging the wrinkles in the cloth.
I think the skin need some color in it as well. The wrist looks a bit odd as well, might just be too thick. I don't know why but the fact that all of his shirts are green really bugs me. i would change the color of the undershirt, maybe to off white or a red. Other than that looking good!
you guys and the skin color! haha, okay okay, I'll revisit it, maybe it just doesn't have enough saturation in some areas, I'll address that in an update. as for the shirts....deal with it haha :P
thanks guys so I decided I'm going to try and match the skin to a render, something that I did to try and achieve the "look" of. So I popped the hi res into vray and churned these out.
and I'm thinking of applying it to another survivor esque character. I'm going to hopefully use what I learn from this guy and transfer it to her:
great work. my only comment would be in regards to her proportions underneath the suit. something to keep in mind going forward would be to consider the thickness of the cloth and material over top of the base figure underneath. if you took her suit off, how skinny would she be? with that in mind, she seems really really skinny. a little inflating of the arms, hips, and legs might help her feel like a figure in a suit rather than the figure being the suit if that makes sense. either way, she looks great and I can't wait to see where she goes with further texturing.
Thanks guys! and Yea Chris I totally understand what you are saying. I used skeleton model I did on my last film for proportion checks and perhaps I went a little too skinny on that front. Ill look into plumping up her arms and legs. I really do appreciate all the comments guys
you have some problems finding a good flesh texture / shader setup but the models are fantastic!
two things about the girl (even though they are bit too late.. but anyway)
the metal rings around her arms are in a bad position (imagine how she would bend her arms.. they need to be a bit more separated from each other. The gap has to be bigger for bending.
Also the 3 strips on her boots look really really cheep or child-shoes-like
The details on the woman look great, I like the texturing and cloth However, the eyes look strange - the lateral canthus should be higher than the medial, right now it seems to be lower and the eyes are getting this 'droopy' look.
And then finally something I did to get back into the flow after the holiday break, a sketch of floyd mayweather from a sphere, hand painted textures, rendered in marmoset:
Most of these are daily sketches that do to help keep me in the flow when I'm not at my desk. Anywho figured I'd update here too

I've pretty much just turned this into a sketchbook, anyone know how to change the title of the first post?

for a fast fix maybe make them not metal shiny but more subtle
keep on.. great work!
some more sketches
for now heres a quick sketch I did from a sphere

Just doing a test render on the head
Anywho heres some sketches of stuff.
A cartoon head, just having fun with form.
And like a Quasimodo from a sphere, about an hour. I took my forms a bit too far, but whatever it was just to help me sleep.
though I do post all the newer stuff to my artstation: http://www.artstation.com/artist/framedworld
a realtime demon I did in marmoset
and then a recorded male torso from a sphere

then something to make me laugh:
then some stylized characters from a sphere, first a male
[ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z38y_QXXwS4[/ame]
and then a woman from the male, sort of poetic in a way

then something I did after thanksgiving dinner:

Absolutely loving these sculpts! These are the kind of stylized character models I love to see, keep it up!
