zBrush Alpha not applying on curves properly

I'm trying to add scales to my Dragon, but when I try and apply it using the DragDot stroke they are not really applying properly.

As you can see the alpha has not bee applied to the high point of the curve, is there a way to solve this ?

Two possibilities come to mind.

Do you have a hidden mask applied? Try to clear your mask.

Do you have any auto masking features turned on, like BackfaceMasking or Topological?
