the design just sort of looks like a bunch of boxes stuck together without much thought about how the weapon functions. it's not very attractive, especially from first person view the proportions don't feel good. it's far too wide as well, which doesn't help it.
your bake also has a lot of errors. this could be from your high poly edges being too thin, not having enough tris in your low, or something else. i can't really tell as your shots are fairly small.
