Centaurs Weapon

Centaurs weapons tri count seems really low for what appears to be 30% of his silhouette his belt (which is more of a buckle) is 200 tris and it's barely seeable in-game. Also the UV space is really cramped and makes it hard (for me at least) to get a nice layout for the axe.

Anyone whos done an axe for him got any tips? Something like reaver or halberd is seeming impossible because of the jagged edges of the weapons causing excessive tri counts.

Никей axe has an insane about of detail and plenty of variation for a 350tri 128x256 so imagine it's possible. No idea how they managed to get such quality in to it though.

Because the axe is modeled in a way that allows its uv's to be mirrored, which basically gives you more detailed texture and crispier details. That's the simplest way to explain it to you
