My name is Philipp, I'm 24 years old and I'm from Germany. At the moment I study Game art/Animation and will be finished in October 2014. I thought it will be a good idea to open a small thread to show my work.
I hope that you can give feedback and criticism. Proposals and what can be improved are of course also welcome!
I like Environment stuff. Most of all i like Stone things.
So here is my first Stone Work. This little Pillar is made in 3dsmax, Maya and ZBrush. It took me about 3 hours.

@Texelion: Dont be disapointed
The near edge seems strangely dark; I'd expect it to be lighter than the darker side.
The three cuts above the lower stripe look artificial, and don't really fit with the rest of the design.

Take a look at the article in the Polycount wiki. (Texturing > Normalmap )
I created my first tileable Texture with 3ds max and Zbrush.
The goal was a tileable Wall texture for a castle or church. So what are you thinking of this creation ?

But at the moment i have a Problem. I think the Texture Resolution is way to Low Res.
The Texture Size is 512x512 for the Bricks and 1024x1024 for the Pillar.
Any ideas?
