Chesterfield Upholstery Advice

I'm working on an old themed air vehicle and have been wanting to get the seat upholstery in order. The majority of the aircraft has been constructed in Softimage, but since the current detail (second attempt) hasn't been quite working out I'm needing to take a different approach.
Basically trying to get the same stuff above replicated onto the seat shown below.
I don't have Zbrush but I do have Sculptris. Now I'm pretty new to the whole sculpting bit but I heard there was a good method behind sculpting this out. Just trying to find a good technique to run with but I thought I'd at least give a shout out before I went at it.
