Scifi high poly weaponry

Hey guys I could use some feedback on these weapons. Let me know if I have the scifi look, what could be better. This is my first crack at scifi stuff. I don't have a concept so I'm just piecing things from references. Any tips, places I haven't scoured for references or advice for improvements much appreciated!

The blue blade is how i will paint in the glow areas. I like that very angular cut look so ignore how the red looks on the blade. It will be like on the blue, but where all the red is currently.
