Maya 2014 Acting weird

Hey guys, recently having some issue with Maya 2014.
Symptoms:
-Grouping: when I group few object for eg., I can't move the objects by moving the group.
-Parenting: same as above, when I have a chain of joints, when I move the main/parent joint, the child joint doesn't move .

Any ideas, whats going on ? Looks like some node is broken during that process or something.

Recently haven't done anything except, Installing Havok's Plugin. That might be the problem ?

Check to see if Inherits Transform is checked under the child's Transform Attributes in the Attribute Editor (it should be checked).

Yes it is checked, and yet it doesnt.
