Dragon Knight Sword

**EDIT*** Chaos Knight Sword ****


Hey everyone, I've recently started looking into making assets for DOTA 2, I still have a lot to learn about the game so I'm starting one piece at a time while learning the full pipeline.

I decided to begin with something quite simple: The Dragon Knight's sword. Here's a few doodles I've done so far.

Let me know which one you prefer/think will fit the most with the character/technical requirements. Feel free to share your crits , I'm here to learn.

Hey DVL. Cool lines man, but I guess most people will say that the silhouette/shapes doesnt fit the dragon knight

My advice to you is: do a lot of research, look at the accepted items, other sword from another games and do lots of little thumbnails of silhoettes, then you will see better which one fits better the dragon knight.

Those concepts you have drawn would fit DOOM perfectly ! As for DK I would suggest you make cleaner forms.

i like the idea
but i would make the hilt part more massive, bigger more standing out, its a bit thin and will possibly get lost ingame

I think that 4 and 5 would fit Doom a bit more. I like 1 and 2 for DK, since his stuff is a lot cleaner and a bit more simple.

Really cool idea about a dragon breathing fire! I looks great too

4 and 5 would fit doom pretty well yeah, they even have the broken up magma bits to fit into the particle emitter position.

I think 2 is a little like a doom sword we have already though.

All of yourcomments make me feel like switching from dragon knight to Doom indeed! Think I'll be pushing the(5) a little more and see!

Worked on it a little more tonight, defined the basic shapes. Think I'l be going for a more Doom Style instead of dragon knight... bad thread title choiseI guess!

anyway, I'll probably begin shading this and test colors soon!

Update, I've decided I was going to do the firebreathing blade(Name is still WIP, lol) for the Chaos Knight, as it allows a little more polygons and fits very well with what I want to do.
