In ancient time the Hammer Wyrm would fight tail to tail with the Slithereen, enlisted as allied the two forged great battle companions. One might say the Slithereen gained their great strengths of swift and crushing might with such a creature.

The last version is a paintover of how im now thinking I want the hammer to head (HA GET IT?!) With the Wyrm Wrapped upon a barnacle y handle.

working on the handle...Im liking the silhouette so far, needs a bit more cleaning.

Looking nice! If you can make the handle to look like a spine instead of that organic coral stuff it would be sick! Just my opinion though

Thanks! Good idea, I'd have to come up with a really simple way to get the details of the spine without going nuts on the poly count, I think its going to be rough optimizing as it is with the simple handle. I'll try it out!

Its not really hard, just take the handle and scale down every second edge so when you put the displacement/normal map its going to look as close as it gets to a spinal bone

I guess I was saying I don't think it's worth adding in extra verts to the handle. There is also a "prehistoric" set from another member of Polycount that has done pretty much exactly that.
