Nikon Digital Fusion

Hey guys back with my latest.

The camera is a Nikon DF (Digital Fusion). My focus for this project is material definition, texturing and presentation, I really need to improve with all three, and my lighting when it comes to presenting work needs real focus.

Here are some of my Reference Images for anyone unfamiliar with the camera and my highpoly in its current state is below. Keep in mind I am saving a lot of the small details for nDo2 but, let rip with any and all feedback.

Please excuse the double update but made a few improvements

The ring around the eyepiece should be circular, and extends noticeably from the body; it should also be larger.

The flash mount should also be larger, with an overhanging ledge on the top.

Cheers man yeah you are 100% right I will fix those up.

Strip some polygons from the smaller details and put them towards affording more detail on the larger circular parts, the detail is noticeable here and suffering. Especially the lens mount, which looks too low poly compared to the rest of the model.

Cheers hawken, yeah it really stands out now that you mention it. Will get on that right now.

Made a few changes to the mesh and texture maps.

Edit: just noticed the eye piece is still a bit funky looking, will get on that.
