Slightly Futuristic Scene

Hey, been working on this for about 3 weeks. Started off as just a ship but I was encouraged to make a whole city. Ended up needing to make a car too. Was a big learning experience as I had to learn dDo, Fume and Nuke.

Work process:
1. Sculpt a rough idea in zbrush.
2. Model in 3ds Max
3. Texture in Ddo then further texturing/tweaks in PS (since I'm still learning the dDo workflow).

Here's a composite:

And here's the wireframe:

Now I'm planing on learning UDK so I can import these models and do a flythrough for a quick demo reel.

Looks pretty cool, it would be nice to see particles underneath where the wheels would be for the car on the left..

Thanks for the crit. I completely agree. In fact, that was what I was intending to do for all thrusters but my file is corrupt or something and randomly crashes and dies (unable to reopen) all the time now no matter what I do (e.g. merge to new scene, remove some effects like particles or environmental fog), and it's all completely random when and why it crashes. So I've given up working on this any more in max and am going to be redoing the effects in UDK (I hope. Downloading it right now).

Some motion blur and glow would go a long way here. Try to render out some zdepth passes. They'll benefit you greatly.

I do have motion blur in there - yes there could be a tonne more, but I didn't want to blur my models.

Quick question: I'm importing into UDK and the models are all fine BUT the materials are not showing up when I attach my maps. I google-searched and saw this was quite a common problem, the advice being to rollback to a previous version. Thing is I've just installed the latest version and apparently it's all good (bug fixes and all). The maps I imported were 24 bit 2k textures. Also when I exported my model I chose ASE format and made sure to tick "import UVW" and that button just below (I think "texture coordinates"). Any advice would be appreciated greatly.
