I finally took the time to get a modular building done for my portfolio (thanks Polycount wiki ) and I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to prevent issues with the footprint, as those comprised most of the problems that I had while working on it.
Thanks! That was the original inspiration :P I ended up using another reference for my building from CGHub (http://cghub.com/images/view/583537/) though.
I found that building the geometry first and then working on the textures later was the best workflow for me.

Could maybe use some vertex painting to break it up a bit and add some dirt and wear?
