Hi everybody! I wrote a new article along the same lines as my "Your Portfolio Repels Jobs" article. It's how to use LinkedIn for people who hate LinkedIn, with reasons on why it's important. I'm pretty proud of it, and I'd love to hear what you all think!
Cool and very relevant article, thanks! You give so much back to the community it's inspiring
Got any thoughts on how to deal with mass messaging without being obnoxious? What's the etiquette for that? Say I whip out a new portfolio, would it better to just post as an update (easy to miss) or to send messages to people (easy to offend)?
#4 Bruno, keep it targeted, personalized, and brief.
#6 Ruz, true, but let them do the math. Flat-out stating your age is just a little weird. If someone's been in games forever, that's cool, but you can't win points by saying "I'm 45!" or "I'm 16!"
In my specific case, I've been working professionally since I was 16, so without knowing that, people would think I was several years older.

Yes and no. From what I understand you don't have to list jobs beyond 10 years. As far as Education, just leave off the dates graduated.
