The bottom pose of the woman (at least I think it's a woman and not ronald mcdonald in drag) appears to be driving an invisible car. That surely must save some polygons.

Ha well it was supposed to be a kick but i like the invisible car idea better.
I think its a good start, the modeling and UVs seem pretty good but i feel your textures could use some work,i would at the min bake an AO onto the meshes but....but a spec and a Norm would go a long way.......i feel you need to give them material definition like grain in the wood or metal, scratches, wrinkles in the cloth.
i like the design and use of overlapping uvs in the face but the char would definatly benifit from an AO pass you tend to loose the figure of the model with the plain white/grey jump suit
the shrine is pretty nice but i feel a ground plane would help the presentation of the piece and i tend to loose the stone shafts against the rock
I like the transistor thats a nice piece, but the UVs seem to be a bit skewed on top and why not overlay the UVs for the top and bottom of the sword (im assuming its a sword lol ) that way you can save uv space and add more detail into the texture, why is there only wear on the triangle part?
The Fire sword is really cool! i like it but it would benifit hugely from a spec and Norm, since it looks like it is made from different metals the metals would have different spec values giving it a cool look and feel
Leonas sword is an interesting design but i feel its impractical, the grip looks just like the blade
Thanks Cglewis. All that info was really helpful. I forgot to mention that for all the models we could only use a diffuse map and alpha maps. It was a kind of a challenge thing for this week.
