Shadowplay to record Max/Maya, etc

Has anyone tried to record something else than playing, like working with a 3d software etc. ?

Doesn't Shadowplay only work in fullscreen DX apps?

Won't work it only does full screen ogl or DX apps.

If you want desktop app recording use camtasia

+1 for camtasia, its just really good software for demonstrations anyway.

OBS is what most streamers use. It's the simplest, most stable and most versatile recording/streaming software I've used. No unnecessary user interface clutter, unlike most of the professional tools, and it can handle all sorts of sources. DirectXcap, screencap and webcameras can all be run simultaneously.

Yeah, OBS is very nice (I use it too) but its quality can be a bit crappy for certain things...
