Hey guys! This is my first ever wip thread. I've been lurking a while and i'm more than ready to start improving with the help of you guys.
This project is going to be a survivor character inspired largely by The Last of Us (another I know). Updates may be slow as i am only able to work on this in my spare time. Obviously i appreciate any crits, bring them on!
First off, here's a mood board of sorts. Stylistically i'm going for the guy wearing the beanie and flannel.
Here's my blockout, a beanie and hair cards will be blocked in once I get the new head in there.
and here's a early head wip
Cheers

that being said...
looking at your charactor wip
the jeans look like yoga pants...and i feel somthing is off with the proportions...but ....i cant put my finger on it
i also feel like his neck is to long
But im really liking the face sclup i would say that it is looking like a robot...but obviously you havnt started adding the interesting bits yet haha
but keep it coming man
The jeans will be heavily edited in the sculpt, i plan to get a proper silhouette at that stage, at this point i'm just aiming for a base.
I think you're right about the neck, cheers for pointing that out, i'll see how it looks once i get the head in with the rest of the body.
Meanwhile, here's where the heads at now, going to move on to retopo now, then onto cloth sculpting!
So what I'm suggesting is - (p.s i'm not the best at wording things so take this with a grain of salt...) :
-Look at the planes and angles of your face, compare to what I've made red in the image.
Try and picture the skull behind the skin and muscle.
-I feel that the transition from the cheekbones to ear is too harsh maybe soften that up a bit.
-The nose bridge was pretty defined and wonky maybe soften and straighten it up a bit?
- Also the eyes could do with some thickness, and the shape looks off.
Anyways basically just do more comparison to reference and you'll be on your way.
Keep going dude!
ZiO - Cheers dude, you are definitely right about that, will deff rework that area.
Luke_Starkie - Duuuude! Thank you for the paintover, i appreciate it deff opened my mind up to a few things!
Now for updates, here's just a quick revision of the head, not yet final. I've moved things around with the move tool to correct areas according to Lukes paintover, still think i could pull out the top of the head some more. Other things to do include softening the cheekbones, nose, and the neck, thickening the eyelids, and fixing up the sharp brows.
Annnd here goes my second ever attempt at cloth sculpting I know it probably looks really lumpy and overdone but i'm really having fun with trying to get my head around it atm Feel free to rip it up, i really want to improve with cloth
