Hey Guys, I have this gun ready and I want to animate it to fire. How do I come about this with a single Texture Map? I can Select everything and Just do an unwrap but would that be wise? Should I attach before I UV it? Also I want to animate it so is there a good way to do that? I can rig it but is it necessary? Please let me know
I will highly appreciate it and you will save me a lot of time trying to figure this out. I just want to do it right and not be a NooB Thanks BTW pics will be an exploded version and my Final Low Poly, I will do all the baking and texturing soon but I feel as this step is crucial and I don't want to put it to the side. A quick response will allow me to continue as soon as possible.

In real time, you always have to keep the number of textures/materials/object to the minimum required.
I don't think i'm wrong when saying that in the end, all parts must be attached, making one object, and all parts are rigged to bones.
1 hard skinned mesh is lighter than several objects for real time engine.
