Hi guys!
I have some free time so I wanted to make few handpainted weapons to not forget "how it's made" and to practice a little.
This is axe i'm working on currently:
Still needs some love but work is going nicely
I hope you like it.
The model is nice. It looks like the colors are taken from about the same hue? I would try and add a bit more contrast in the colors. It should help make it pop out more as well.
I'm with Tobbo, adding some color would help a lot, maybe the straps holding the stone in place could have some color. Maybe putting tribal markings on it? idk, just ideas.
The one thing that really stood out to me, was that the blade should probably be much lighter than the rest of th axe head. Whoever made this axes probably used another stone to chip this stone into a blade. It would be cool if that were more apparent in the texture.
This could be a really cool prop. Keep pushing it!

BUT...
DWalker said it: The Straps are Wrong.
They look like, they cant hold that heavy blade...
Anyway, cool stuff!
How much Tris?
I deleted old straps and made new following DWalker's instructions (thanks )
Polycount - 473 tris
There are some new colors on handle, also contrast is now higher.
Updates soon
Thank you guys for feedback and nice critique
