Been working on this lately for some practice and change from the environment stuff I normally work with. Based on a concept from Alexey Yakovlev. Got some more fixes and tweaks before I can wrap this one up. Might create a low-poly version as well. Give me a shout if you got some thoughts and ideas. Gonna post some more pictures when I'm done. Cheers!
Thanks Guys!
Hopefully Im gonna have time to start with a low-poly version in the near future.
MGE_PM: Yes its rendered in Keyshot but I did set up the materials in 3ds max and then used the 3ds Max keyshot exporter plugin.
loki1991: Since its a highpoly It doesn't reallt matter, but with the second iteration with turbosmooth its around 15mil tris, just enough to not kill my computer
Posting a picture of the wires, still a little bit of tweaking and cleanup before I can move on. Also a animation of how the landing gear works. Cheers!
I don't think that rotation is necessary. A three point stance is plenty stable, and I don't think those things would really work as skis. Seems like it makes it less sturdy and needlessly complex. I realize the overall ship isn't exactly a realistic design either, but that rotating strut kind of stands out as a useless thingy.
Also, maybe you could spice up the cockpit a bit? Right now the left-hand and right-hand buttons, screens and panels are simply mirrored. And I think the seatbelt twistbuttonthing and the joystick could use some more texture, perhaps some ribbing for grip.
Snader: The reason why those landing gears are rotating is simply because I think it looks better when they are folded up in to the wings. The idea is not that they are suppose to work as skis, but since it is a VTOL it doesnt need wheels so I prefer this design. But as you say, the design for the ship would probably not work in real life anyway.
I might spend some more time on breaking up the symmetry and make the interior a little bit more unique on both sides and I will probably spend some more time on materials for the highpoly-version once ive done with some tweaking.
I think this is excellent!
Only thing is, would the throttle work on that side? The stick looks to be right handed, so having the throttle on the right would mean you'd need to take you hand off the stick, so maybe flip the stick / throttle round?
*i have no idea about planes so just guessing!*

Lastly, the fonts aren't doing that much for me.
So yeah, all pretty small stuff...

Thanks for the feedback! Cheers!
