I imported a head model I had been working on in Maya 2010 over to Maya 2013, and when it came time to experiment with texturing, the model would not UV correctly.
Even though I had already laid out the UV's, when I looked at the model, the texture was not showing up as it should:
Can anyone help me with this? I can send you the file in Maya, OBJ, or FBX format.

I hadn't assigned a material until I brought it into 2013.
Still gives me the exact same result.
In your UV Texture Editor select your mesh and check under UV Sets if you have more than one entry.
If you do, in your UV Texture Editor go to Polygons>Copy UVs to UV Set and choose map1.
Just tried it, it's still not working. For some reason the other UV set looks like it's only grabbing the ones around the ears, no idea why.
