Terrain Size

Hello Everyone, I am trying to make my own map but i soon realized that its too massive. Its over 1.8 kilometers How do i reduce the size of this? Please tell me theres a way

From the main window, Terrain >> Resize Terrain

i tried that but it just cuts off the map and i need to scale it down and then use resize

In Terrain> Edit Terrain export your height map then resize both the Terrain in CE like Dissonance said and the heightmap in photoshop to fit your new Terrain size, then reimport it.
