Hey guys, I've been looking for some good quality cubemaps, but I've hit a dead end.
I downloaded these ones:
http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1545183 , and managed to find a few others, too, but most of them are Outdoors with pretty even lighting, and not much contrast, which leads to washed-out textures, at least while using Maya 2014's dx11 shader.
Does anyone know of, or have any? Really any at all, but especially indoor cubemaps, or studio-lighting cubemaps.
Thanks.

Some people, I've noticed, upload each individual square separately, which is fine, too.
So, no use having real HDR data in the map. At least not for my use.
ZacD, I hadn't thought of that. I wouldn't know where to start, but I'll look into it. It could prove useful if I could work it out. Thanks for the idea!
You can always try to make your own? It's a very good thing to try to do at some point. Even though in game environments these days the engine does it for you xD Good learning experience either way.

If you make a big sphere, texture it with the sky of your choosing then render out each camera view, it's easy to turn into a cubemap strip. I'd recommend using ati cubemapgen to do it. It allows you to load each face seperately and can spit out a nice cubemap with seamless mipmaps.
