Hey all,

I recently started making this little character and could need some help on the way.
Here's the concept made by Artur Gorczynski:



I'd like to get better at realistic texturing so I thought I'd try to make her look a bit Pixar-ish in the end.
Here's what I have so far:




Obviously very WIP, but please if you have any critique, suggestions or ideas I would love to hear them!

Some texture work!
Been spending some time on the face and the hat. Just started with the cardigan. It's badly tiled right now so that will be the next thing to fix

lol she looks cute xD you did a good job. Love the straw hat ^^
The only thing that feels odd to me is that the hat seems too shiny for a straw hat. Maybe could tone down the specularity?

I'd make the shadows slightly warmer on the head. At the moment they look near-black, maybe fake some bounce light, as if there's a tiny bit of light coming through the straw hat? They usually don't block light as well as a "solid" hat would. Maybe add a few more polys to the ribbon on the hat too to smooth it out a bit? You can quite clearly see each segment, just upping it from what looks like 8 to 12-16 would make a big difference.
