Holy crap this looks like a massive project. It's looking pretty awesome so far! I'm especially enjoying all of the different kinds of foliage and colors all over the place. Inside of the cave is a visual treat.
My one critique for the moment is the amount of bloom when you're outdoors. It makes everything seem hazy and blurry, making it hard to decide where your eyes are supposed to look. It's almost like a blurry photo to me, or some kind of drug-o-vision effect. Other than that, it's looking pretty beautiful.
edit: Just watched through the video with coworkers and I just wanted to reiterate how awesome this is. Really inspiring stuff man. Keep it up!
This is truly amazing, I love the back story you put into the environment.
As well as CharlieD said, my only critique is the DOF and the chromatic aberration.
Goddamn man! This is is great. I have to agree with what the others have said, you should probably tweak the DoF a bit. Although it seems like everything else is looking awesome! you really put the work into this and it shows
It is very impressive but could be pushed further with some of the suggestions here. In addition, I'd say that your shadows are too black in the open air shots. It could be a stylistic choice but it makes the whole image feel very dark and in my opinion detracts from the feel and look of the scenes.
Take the first shot you posted as an example; the shadows make the ground look almost black, and the ground itself is a dark brown so you end up with a near black bottom half. Which is a shame since you have some lovely work in there.
I'm surprised nobody mentioned the lack of cubemap lighting in your topic. It must be the reasons your shadows totally lack of color bounces, eye adaptation being funky set aside. I'll give you that it can be a nightmare to work with sometimes.
The bloom is looking much better. I agree with the darks being too dark. If you grey scale your latest image, you pretty much get black, a dark grey, and very light grey. Not very much variation in between. Looking better though dude, keep it coming.
I don't think using existing music (with credit given) on your videos is bad, I have on 2 or 3 fly throughs I have done and I've had no problem at all. I think it has helped in fact.
Maybe stripping out the chromatic abberation and toning down the post fx will help when you balance the lighting. It's still rather dark but again, it depends on what you want it to look like. Is it too dark in your opinion?
Looks beautiful man. I definitely agree with the guys saying to add some epic music. Unfortunately I'm also terrible at finding epic music haha.
Posthouse Tuomi tends to be a popular choice for people who are looking for epic music. Maybe they have something that will fit well with the video. Here's their soundcloud if you want to take a look.
Music for sure. I think this is totally epic and the amount of work is mindboggling. A couple of critiques would be to me that the foliage could use some more color variation. It all looks kind of on the brown side. Also, the video seems jerky and could be bumped up resolution wise. Maybe this is something you would do for a final version?

The video fly through is so epic.
a few things that stand out to me are the overly blooming bloom in the sky shots, it makes the scene look strange.
Some bugs / glowing dusts aroudn those lights inteh cave would be awesome.
Some mist coming off the waterfall / areas of the waterfall.
Specular seems to be missing overe the entire scene, noting seems to have any in the shots, making it feel dry.
Love the statue, those wings rock.
Other than those nit picks I love it, would look soo cooool with movemnt of the foliage, so pleeeeeeease make a vid of this

This is an excellent talk about lighting from one of the Crysis 3 lighting artists: http://pydonzallaz.wordpress.com/2013/08/23/gdc-europe-2013-shining-the-light-on-crysis-3/
Crappy photoshoppery

Btw, 2:13 to 2:23 shows the blackness pretty well. There's a lot of almost pure black there (at least on my screen)
you need some epic music there!
