This weekend I decided to do something different. Been working on a fun little art project. I'm by no means a character artist, and haven't really worked properly yet with Zbrush so any advice is welcome
Concept by mrBrander, working with me on this little project:
I want to mix between both concepts (The more cartoony looking one, but still with those defining mouse shapes in the face), planning to texture in the fur also with planes.But any advice on how to handle that part would be awesome
In the end I'm planning to make this character run around in UDK.
great concept, especially first one. I love this 's' curves. Looking from side view, neck is to short, head is moved to far, his chest should be rotated anticlockwise, pelvis should be rotated clockwise, a lot of work. I would go back with subdivisions and work with overal shape.

Agreed about the neck, he wouldn't be able to wear that scarf like that the way it is now. Going back to lowest sub-d to fix these proportions is a good idea, working on them now. I don't mind it's still a lot of work, most of these issues I don't really see yet so thanks for the hints.
lol thanks for that,
and mouse guard looks pretty cool!
Made a bag for the little guy during lunchbreak, also moved the scar to the other eye and tried to fix some proportions:
And adding the sewing kit..still need a cool device on his missing left arm that can act as some sort of pulley..he'll be able to move around more effectively.
Nice concept and nice base mesh!
The last details look rushed and don't do much justice to what's underneath.
Other than that the waist area looks a bit weird to me, maybe adding a little more volume to his belly would do it.
Keep it up

Did some small detailing and added his mighty weapon, the needle;
Ambient occ and normal, preview in 3d Max viewport (tr count is 9.5k);
Getting more motivated to put some more time into this
