sculpt from today. probably gonna work further on it tomorrow. Livestream was recorded and can be seen here. (called mr.lillyputter and triun part1) http://www.livestream.com/tomsketchbook
an update on the Triun Character. just to push myself not to do busts alone. This is actually done before the triun sculpt. but it seemed I didn't post it here yet
and now something completly different:
block-out
with first normals and AO baked. (they were not baked in this scene, but on a horizontal plane 1 texture 2048*1024 and another 1024*1024)
On this project for school I`ve been working about two weeks in total over a longer timespan. This was my first time ever to make a level and learn the udk pipeline. Altough I`m not completly statisfied because towards the end I had to rush the scenelightning and leveldressing. nonetheless this will be somewhat a milestone from me to look back on.These two down here are animated in game.
Here are some screenshots from the level I build with my assets. The level had to be a deathmatch level 1vs1
Crits Are very welcome. This way I could learn even more out of it. Enjoy
Fantastic painting. I know I already said it but your color palette is just fantastic. The blue's and purple's in the log, the blue shadows in the trees, so awesome. Really makes me want to attempt a hand painted scene.
It looks like this is all hand painted, but was there any sculpting involved? I'm gonna guess no, but sometimes nowadays it's just hard to tell with you hand painted freaks :poly124:
@Stockwell: thanx again To answer your question there wasn't any sculpting involved. (never done that before actually, maybe I ought to try it out sometime.)
I'm currently finishing up an assignment for levelscripting in Unity.
I tried my hands on making a level from hotline miami in 3d and C#.
more shots coming soon
Here's another handpainted piece.
From own concept to rigged and skinned model
In the meantime I was also making another character for a game-project.
This is a WIP from now (diffuse is not finished yet)
Only Diffuse again. NO Normals only smoothingGroups
I'm working on my website. And reposed and rendered this one out.
Character is subd with custom rig and handpainted diffuse textures.
rendered in marmoset 2
Hope you like
And these are some new shots from my entry in the Ghibli contest on fb.
I ended up at 4th place
Here are some more pics on my Artstation.
I'm thinking of making a 3D print of this. Any suggestions on this?
