The representation of female characters in games and female gamers

I am a games art student who is currently writing a thesis on the aforementioned subject. I have created a short survey which should take no more than 5 minutes to complete which will help aid the thesis and gather information on women in games and the games industry.

Your genres selection is missing a few key game types. For example, the last two games I've sunk any time into are Rayman and GTA and neither of them are covered. "Third person action", "action-adventure" or something similar is definitely necessary as that covers roughly half of what comes out on console, and "platformer" would also be worth adding. I'd also change "text adventure" to simply "adventure"
