Item is wrong scale when imported into dota (3ds max 2013 .FBX)

I'm having trouble with my models when i'm importing them into dota 2. They are scaled down once imported into dota 2, in my viewport in 3ds max it's the same size as valves .fbx files (see attachment) but once in dota they are scaled down.
I've done a reset x-form before skinning the item

Also these are obviously not the final textures, so don't comment on that please! :)
