The Army Game Studio is seeking a talented 3D Environment Artist with experience in creating industry-leading environments to join our team to work on current and future versions of the Americas Army video game as well as a large variety of Americas Army branded government applications. As part of the Art Team, the ideal candidate will help develop levels, architecture, vehicles, objects, textures, and materials.
Required Skills:
- Excellent traditional art skills in one or more areas of value to environment team including (Environmental Design, Figure Drawing, Character Design, Animation, Special Effects, Graphic Design, etc.)
- Expert professional level of technical skill with Maya/3ds Max, Zbrush/Mudbox, Photoshop and/or equivalents; proficiency with other software tools a plus
- Strong foundation on basic tools necessary to create current products
- Ability to learn new tools and methods quickly
- Minimum of 2 years of industry experience as an environment artist with credits in at least two published titles.
- Experience with UDK a HUGE plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as a good eye for quality and detail.
- Maintain a high level of creativity and effectiveness as well as the flexibility to quickly adapt to a constantly evolving development environment. Candidates must be committed to personal and peer development and the sharing of best practices.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience Requirements: A Bachelor of Arts or equivalent degree is required. MFA or equivalent is preferred. At least 5+ years of experience is required. Candidates must currently possess a SECRET security clearance or have the ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
Candidates must be willing to take an art test to be considered for the position.
