I've been roaming around here for a while without ever really posting anything, but thought I'd finally start sharing some of my stuff with the community to get some of your feedback.
I've been doodling on this one for some time. This is still only 3dsmax work, I do intend on ZBrushing it all soon but I really want to make most of my first pass in Max.
I'm still working on the design, I want to add as much custom pieces as I can so I'm looking here and there for some references (Any suggestions are welcome of course!)
Most of this is still Work In Progress, so if you see weird stuff it's simply because it's unfinished. Once everything is completed, my intention is to bake it as a next-gen video game model and texture it. I'm also attaching the Bolter, which is still WIP as well.
All critics are most welcome!

here's an update, ZBrushed some dents and tiny details on the Bolter!
I've been messing around with some displacement/tesselation tests in my last update, I've included a side by side comparison as well.
I've also decided to add a purity seal on the weapon(Still WIP), to try and break the symmetry a little. I'll also be applying a few decals here and there I believe.
This is not far from being finished, but there's still a few things I want to tweak.
concerning the shoulders, don't worry about it too much I'd say. The reason you're having a hard time finding refs is simply because you hardly ever see that part on a space marine. I've seen some refs where there's like a smaller shoulderpad underneath, you could probably try that too.
I've attached a screenshot of what I've got for my shoulder so far, definitely not final but you should get the idea.
