Hello! I'm Vella and I finally decided to post after lurking for a while.
I've just started school last summer to really focus in on art/3d work, and while I haven't made any 3d progress yet I'd always love feedback on my 2d...and 3d once I have some!
Apologies for the name; I tried changing it but it only seems to affect the post title.

So to start here's some stuff I just finished for my final this past week. Never done expression sheet or turn arounds so feedback on my weak points would be great!

Awesome 2d stuff Vella! From the selection of images there definitely is a unity with all of them, though I feel like you could push some of the values.

Also, is purple and yellow your favourite complimentary? I suffer from using blue and orange too much.

Really unique style you have, it reminds me of old school Disney work, where the character have really flexible bodies. Keep it up and looking forward to more of your work.

I find I tend to struggle with values a lot. I really need to find time to sit down and do some hard studies!
Actually I hadn't noticed but I do tend to use purple/yellow a lot. Also I love your avatar! Ponies man haha.

Just as a point of curiosity, is it better to use the attachment manager or upload offsite and link in?

Im so tired I've no idea why I thought it'd be a good idea to do a study right now haha.
Some tumblr meme thing "draw yourself/character in x style" and an attempt at a study. Was trying to work on values more than get the lovely car right but hey it's 2am so I'll call it a night and try again tomorrow!

Portrait sketches I did a bit before I started posting here but I thought they'd be nice to put up and get feedback on.



Also I did some web-page design just to try it as well as give a visual to some feedback the site owners received. It's no perfect and mostly placeholder, but I had a ton of fun and would love to do stuff like this more!

First design is essentially using the layout they already have and updating the colors (w/drop-down menus), and the second was one I thought would give the site a more "updated" look and lead the eye better. I did draw the news dog and the register now, as well as some of the featured pets as bases. All the art belongs to the site. :>

Logo for a project I'm doing with my bf and a photo study.
Will probably do a b/w version as well, though I think I may just go to skulls for a while next haa.
