I'm working with multiple layers on a reptile creature.
currently I laid down a base layer of scales, on it's own layer.
Then I created a seperate layer with some variation.
As soon as I stop recording that new layer, the previous layer becomes "empty" and all I see is the current layer.
If you hover over the layer on the UI it says shape (empty).
Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi, I know this thread is pretty old now, but I'm experiencing the same issue. I've tried all I could think of, and it keeps doing the same thing. The problem seems to be only with one layer, the other two are fine, and they don't have the "empty" tag when you hover the mouse over them.
Just wanted to know if you found a solution to this. Thanks!
First, the only layer I had visible was the one with the "empty" tag. So, I created a morph target with only that layer visible, then deleted that layer, created a new one and enabled the morph target in that new layer, so I have all the detail from the broken layer into a new one. Just turned the other layers on and everything worked like a charm!
Maybe it'll help somebody
