Hey guys, I work at Ubisoft Toronto with a number of the great folks from this community and I figured I'd just post a dump for us all to toss our stuff into! This was my first shipped AAA title and it was awesome working with folks like Adam Bromell (tho I didn't work with him much at all), Uly, LilDragon, lots of other member names I can't recall or remember. So glad to finally share this stuff with people. So to all you guys, feel free to post your stuff here too.
I acted as a modeler for our level, mostly did structural stuff and not too many props given the structure of our level. I've got loads of my own crits here but it's time to move on :P Hope you guys like em. The vast majority of the textures are done by Uly (my hero).
I loved Blacklist.. had so much fun, and was blown away by the subtle but really effective use of DX11 features... also... kudos that you guys make low spec vs high spec look very very similar.
Thanks so much guys! Those tents were one of my first tasks coming to UbiTo. Was given loads of time to work on them to help establish our "quality bar". Was a great chance to learn about folds and fabric thickness and qualities.
That game is the reason I don't work so much in my sparetime atm!
Shame on you!!
Very good job, congrats to you and your team, and to the fact you have now shipped your first AAA
Blacklist was awesome. I actually didn't start having fun until about an hour into the game but once I understood the gameplay mechanics I couldn't put it down until I finished it (which prevented me from being productive for a week, lol).
It's amazing to see just how beautiful the assets in this game are, I was amazed by every environment in the game. It's also amazing how some people (like IGN) have the audacity to say the graphics were "dated." Anyway, Blacklist is a 10/10 game, I'd recommend it to anybody who hasn't played it yet.
Great work man, congrats on 1st AAA I was on this project too, though in Montreal, where we did the Multiplayer part. Cool to see some polycounters working on the same game
I'll be posting some of my stuff too today, but after seeing this I kinda feel a bit ashamed of myself cauz shader and polygon wise we were at much lower level due to Multiplayer restrictions, so probably my work will look one generation old compared to your images lol.
Hiya peeps, got my approval today and have some additional assets to add to this dump. I was mainly one of the character artists on the team and besides characters we were tasked with some other duties as you'll see below. Had a great time compiling all of these.
These first 3 are based from scans that needed a lot of love
This is the sculpt of a OpsSuit from Conviction that I was tasked on retooling and matching our other sets from Blacklist.. Mark Vick (Ritorian) was a big help here as he did all the other suits. I'll post the realtime version later.
Thanks everyone, really appreciated! It was a great project to be part of.
@ X-One - you have no idea
@ Jet_Pilot - I know right? But there's a lot of content that has to run smoothly, so some sacrifices were made
@ _Kratos_ - Do it! Definitely a fun game
Damn fine job guys! You must be absolutely knackered with the amount of content you shipped in this game. There is so much to do and I haven't played it all yet, I really miss Michael Ironside's voice (though Eric Johnson does do a good job) but the return of spies vs mercs makes up for that.
Matroskin - great work! I haven't had the opportunity yet to play through those levels at home but definitely will And yeah no kidding on the goggles, I was pretty stoked to have had the opportunity to work on these ones for sure.
peanut - cheers! You just reminded me... just added my name to them
Di$array - Awesome to hear you're enjoying it! Seems a lot of peeps are happy with the amount of content on the disk/s.

Congrats on the release and a job well done, you all are a powerhouse team!

that environment with the blue-ish pipes remeinds me of the UDK default material haha

Man, making vision goggles - what can be more Splinter Cell than that ! This is probably the most Splintercelissed thread the world had ever seen:)
Awesome works guys.
On a side note, since danjohncox suggested that this tread is apparently a hub for all SC art dumbs, I would throw a link to my thread too, just in case
