Hi i'm a bit new here so i'll make it breif. Can anyone give me a tutorial or tell me the program that was used to make the textures in the the VG REMIX Contests

3D motive have a hand painted tutorial and there's loads of stuff to see online with stuff like Youtube, just gotta google hand painted tutorials

I think you misunderstood my question. I'll explain in better detail. I want to learn how to make 8 bit textures like those in the Vg Remix contests. Not uv wrap high poly models and paint textures

Photoshop is most likely the program they used. If not, then Photoshop can do it anyway.

And if you want to make stuff like the VG Remix submissions, you'll need to learn to unwrap models and paint on them.

Can you unwrap models in cinema 4d?

search for pixel art tutorials. The hand painted tutorial torch referenced is good too - the same fundamentals apply you're just working at a smaller resolution.
