Currently working on a weapon for Dota 2 and I would like to see what it looks like in game. However, I'm having a terrible time finding a guide on correctly exporting my model from 3ds Max to Dota 2, or Source in general.
I currently have Wall Worm installed, but I'm not sure how to go about setting up my paths correctly and what not.
Can anyone give me a clear answer on how to set this all up?

Dota does not rely on the regular Source workflow anymore - everything is built into the game.
It's actually very simple once you know the drill
I'm not receiving any errors when importing either.
Here's another doc - way too long since it also covers modeling, but there might be some good information in there.

Also, there is a Dota subforum here too - people over there will sure be able to help you.
Good luck !
However, now my model is really really small. I've imported the .fbx file into 3ds Max and it's about the same size of the model in that, but in-game it's super small. Any idea what causes this?
