Nearly finished this model, there are some bits that im till re working, think im genna re do the number screen at the top, I wanted to make it look like the numbers are behind glass, however as its only on a plane, im finding it a tad difficult to make it look right. So may model it all in and add a cylinder for the numbers and actually have glass in front.
Anyway, any crits? should i leave the glass as is? or should IU just model it?

Generally you want to avoid cold yellow in natural environments, there are few occasions where it looks good. Warm in general is more friendly and fits with many more other colors. Cold nearly fits with none, mainly neon colors, black and purple.
Also, that thing where the coins are on, It looks like you have the UDK base texture on it. And your background really kills it. Never use flat grey. Take a complementary and do a decent gradient if you dont like to put effort in it.
For a prop the polycount looks fine, but for a portfolio piece the way you present it, Id enjoyed more polys at the main convex area where the levers also are. The numbers dont seem like a problem for me, but sure why not ; )
(only put yellows on hue & saturation -16, maybe a little too much but
you see its a lot more inviting to look at)
background can be a lot better ofc, and this one uses a really harsh gradient, you find something better there im sure ; )
Note the pointing hand rather than an arrow, the prominent decimal point, and the "dollars" and "cents" labels. Also note that there is one column for each digit; you should add two additional columns for the cents and 10s of cents.
Changing the plinth to wood might help to get rid of the yellow trim.
I'd change the font of "NATIONAL" to a cursive font to better match the period, and I'd get rid of the label on the base - the registers had the name in only one location.
And as for the ridiculous number, going to change all that to what it is meant to be, thanks for pointing all that out aswell. Going to look into different fonts and all that good stuff aswell.
Cheers!
