Hi,
So I'm importing some reference objects as assets to a scene in a house. Most were made by me, but I got a few other asset models from a colleague. While the models look fine, when I put them as reference objects in my scene, the various parts that they're made of tend to move, scale, and rotate differently so my model ends of falling apart as I try to put it into place. I've tried grouping, combining, and hierarchy selection both in the scene file and the original asset file and yet I still can't seem to solve this problem and it's happening on most of my colleague's assets. In the scene file especially, if I try any methods to select the entire piece, like a hierarchy selection, any efforts to scale, rotate, or move the model won't work, even though the numbers are changing in the channel box
Is there any way I can select these reference object as one model and not have to deal with it disecting itself upon manipulation?

Sounds like a bad transform on your friend's models. In Maya you can use Freeze Transform, in Max you can use Reset Xform.
I tried using Freeze Transform, but that doesn't work. I didn't think it would since the objects are zeroed when it's imported as a reference.
