How to open files in Quixel dDo?

Seems like a dumb question, but for the life of me, I can't figure out if there's a way to open PSD's you've made in Quixel's dDo and have them still be editable using the dDo interface- I'm managing a lot of props and want them all to look uniform, which sometimes means going back to a texture I did earlier and making some tweaks.

Issue is, it seems you can't open a PSD in dDo and jump back into editing all the groups and details you set up, you have to start over. Best I could do was to save all my settings as a preset, but as dDo is inherently random it doesn't always apply all the same materials to the same sections, or apply the same effects in the same order.

Anyone know anything about this? I did some hunting, but since dDo is really new there's not much documentation on the 'net other than Quixel's own tutorial videos, which are REALLY long, so I've only gotten through one of them.

Thanks for the help!

You don't have to do anything. dDo should just recognize that its a dDo file and everything should just show up in the interface. Just have the PSD open, and then open up dDo.

Hmm... even when I re-start dDo, it will either show up as though I have no open projects, or just have all the details of my last project loaded regardless of what I'm trying to open.

Maybe try to re-install it then? I just tried it to double check for you, and all I did was open up my PSD, then launched dDo and this is what it pulled up.

You are not renaming, or changing around your layers are you? That can mess up dDo a lot.

Or you can click on that refresh arrow ( first icon after DSGHN ) on top of that dockable UI. Pretty sure I ran into what you ran into a while back and when I clicked on that it allowed ddo to recognize that psd as a ddo project.

I think that did it, seems to be working now. Thanks for the help! This was becoming a real pain, almost stopped using it, which would have been a real shame!
