Exporting C4D UV texture

(i'm very newbie in 3D, so forgive me if I dont use the correct words sometimes)
Hi mates! I was messing around with Cinema 4D, I modelled an object and I applied Optimal Mapping to it, so I have this:

Captura_de_pantalla_2013_09_03_a_las_16_35_32.jpg

I wanna save the UV map in .psd so I can make a kickass painted texture there, but when I 'Save texture as...', it appears like this

Captura_de_pantalla_2013_09_03_a_las_16_40_22.jpg

i mean, without the UV thing, right?? What am I doing wrong? What should i do to save the UV too in that file??

Not many people on Polycount use Cinema4d (Hawken, I believe? But he doesn't post very often), have you tried posting it on the official C4D forums?

Edit: Didnt see your first image

If you got your UV as you like, then select all your faces in face or edge mode (Dosnt matter - top middle icons) then you can press the dropdown menu "fill polygon edges"

and there you go (simply save out from dropdown more on left, youll find it)

It will fill with whatever brush you have currently (Switch to bodypaint workspace to edit brush easily)

Just play a bit with the things and youll find out everything you need and how it behaves

this was kinda destiny, landed on this page per accident
