I think you'll need to get a bit more specific and visuals would help.
Off the top of my head I can think of turning a selection of edges into a spline (Create Shape, in edit poly) Then path deform (WSM) your object to the path. You'll probably want to reset scale and transform because those will carry over from the object to the spline when it is created and it will affect how things are deformed.
